Gili Meno is situated between Gili Trawangan and Gili Air. It features a calming lake and pristine white sandy beaches, free from pollution as motor vehicles are strictly prohibited. Instead, only bicycles and cidomo (local horse-drawn carts) are used for transportation. This makes Gili Meno a very peaceful place, ideal for those looking to refresh their minds away from the urban hustle and bustle.
The gentle waves surrounding the beaches of Gili Meno, along with the soothing chirping of birds, create a tranquil environment. For those interested in water activities, Gili Meno offers excellent snorkeling spots where the underwater life is well-preserved, boasting vibrant coral reefs and beautiful fish. There’s also a unique underwater sculpture located at one of the dive sites.
Gili Meno has three main snorkeling spots: Meno Wall, Sea Point Turtle, and Point Coral Blue. Gili Meno features a baby turtle hatchery aimed at preserving sea turtles. This island is particularly suitable for a relaxing honeymoon but is also great for enjoying nature and unwinding.

By Fast Boat to Gili Meno
If you’re planning a trip to Gili Meno from Bali, you can take a fast boat from Padang Bai Port straight to the island. It’s important to note that not all fast boats go to Gili Meno, so be sure to book your ticket early to ensure your travel plans are secure. The journey by fast boat from Padang Bai to Gili Meno typically lasts about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Once you arrive, it’s just a quick 5 to 10-minute ride to Gili Meno Beach. Several ports in Bali serve as gateways to Gili Meno, allowing you to choose one based on your current location. You can depart from Padang Bai, Sanur, Nusa Lembongan, or Nusa Penida ports. Each of these ports offers routes to Gili Trawangan, providing flexibility and convenience for your travel plans.
The Padang Bai port is the most commonly used harbor at present due to its efficiency and ideal distance for traveling to the Gili Islands and Lombok. This port is highly recommended if you reside in Bali. Currently, thousands of passengers depart from Padang Bai.
If you are in Nusa Penida, you can directly go to Gili as there are several fastboat companies that can facilitate direct crossings from Nusa Penida to the Gili Islands and Lombok.
If you are in Nusa Lembongan Island, you can directly go to Gili as there are several fastboat companies that can facilitate direct crossings from Nusa Lembongan to the Gili Islands and Lombok.
If you want to go to Gili and Lombok from Sanur, it will actually take longer or be a long journey. The fast boats departing from Sanur to Gili usually make a stop in Nusa Penida to load and unload passengers. The Sanur harbor is actually most suitable for going to Lembongan or Nusa Penida, but if you have specific requirements and need to depart from Sanur, you can take the Sanur-Gili route.
There are several fast boat service providers that offer direct crossing routes from Amed to the Gili Islands and Lombok. However, at the time of writing this, the service is temporarily unavailable due to the construction plans for the harbor in Amed. We are not certain when this route will resume operations, and we will provide updates in the future. In the meantime, for those who are in Amed, you will have to use the Padang-Gili Island or Lombok route.

Not far from the Pier we can find a turtle hatchery which on Google Maps can be found under the name “Gili Meno Sea Sanctuary”. We can see little turtles that have been preserved until it’s time to be released back into the sea.
This lake is a small lake on the island of Gili Meno. Previously, we could see the view of the lake from the land by the lake. Now already has a wooden bridge that stretches out beautifully on Gili Meno Island.
